All of our classes are taught by professional instructors with more than 20 years of experience in the Paramedic field. Our goal is to leave you feeling confident in knowing how and what to do in a time of crisis. Each of our instructors keep up with the most current techniques and guidelines for performing the skills you will learn in our classes to ensure that you get the best training possible. You’ll learn from experts in a stress free environment.

I attended Tier One's "BLS for the Healthcare Provider" course. Doug was a knowledgeable , experienced, and very engaging instructor who provided our class with valuable information, relevant anecdotes and ample time for practice. This was one of the best classes I’ve ever taken! Our instructor was an EMT who gave us real life experiences, not just hospital based. As an RN of 35 years experience no longer working in a hospital I truly think & feel it was so helpful. He was very concise and informative on the AHA changes.

This was the best First Aid/CPR class I've ever taken (and I have taken several of them). Doug was an excellent instructor. He kept the class moving, gave us lots of real-life situations from personal experience, and provided hands-on training so that we could practice the skills we were learning. Doug trained me and others on topics including CPR, administering Narcan, and First Aid all in one day! It was a lot to cover but his teaching style is both fun and informative, so it did not feel like we were being overwhelmed with information. I appreciated the hands-on approach to learning and Doug sharing his personal experiences as a paramedic. Also, asking questions was encouraged. Even though any situation where this care is needed would be scary, I now feel prepared to jump into action.

The instructor was great; very knowledgeable and kind. I thought the real-life examples were helpful as well as practicing with the mannequins. My only critique is that the class was faced paced and seemed geared toward those who had taken CPR in the past.

I took the BLS for health care providers class and the instructor was amazing! He broke everything down and made it very easy to understand. He asked the whole class questions and kept us engaged and when it came time for us to use the mannequins he helped us to understand what we would do in certain situations.

By far the most informative and entertaining CPR class I’ve taken. Doug (pretty sure his name was Doug, correct me if I’m wrong) has extensive real world experience and an engaging personality. He made sure to engage each student by name and solicit peoples personal experience with CPR. His wealth of knowledge gave extra insight into the on-the-ground realities of performing CPR during actual emergencies. I was genuinely surprised that two hours had passed when I looked at the clock. Received my E-Card minutes after leaving the class. I would unreservedly recommend this class for anyone in need of these trainings or who simply want a life saving skill set in their pocket.

This is my second time learning BLS from Matt. Matt is very knowledgeable and uses his real-life experiences in the paramedic world to showcase the seriousness and importance of learning basic life support. Never have I had such a prepared instructor who actually had me feeling like I was truly ready to perform life saving measures if necessary. Mr. Weber asked us thoughtful questions about what we would or would not be willing to do in different scenarios. This resulted in thinking about the CPR dummy as an actual human, a stranger or maybe a family member, and how we would respond in the moment. I was extremely impressed with this course and this instructor.

This was seriously the best experience I’ve ever had with a BLS course! I felt like I truly learned more in this course than any one that I’ve taken in the past. Doug was so very nice and fun, but also professional…he made sure to give tips and pointers when it came time for the hands on training. Not to mention he made my first time leaving my 8 month old son a much more enjoyable experience for this anxious mama! I look forward to taking future classes at Tier One!

Doug was our instructor today. In 25 + years of taking CPR classes for work in healthcare, Doug was, by far, the best instructor I have ever had. He kept the wording consistent and clear and kept referring back and quizzing us throughout to help ensure that we actually learned the information. He also offered many meaningful explanations for the whys of what we were doing which made the information easier to remember. The four hours flew by! I strongly recommend Tier One for CPR training.

I truly cannot say enough great things about TierOne. I raved about all I had learnt to my husband moments after I left, and pretty much taught him the entire class. The instructor was able to connect with stories and real life scenarios, which makes it so much easier to learn and obtain the massive amount of information you need to know to learn CPR.

This was the best CPR class I have ever taken. Matt was incredibly thorough and provided multiple real world examples that are applicable to what you can expect when resuscitating an individual. Matt also goes into the science as to why we do CPR and how the techniques you learn work in everyday practice!

I've done several CPR/BLS classes in the past and this was by far the most enjoyable class I have attended. Doug was a great instructor whose mix of information, scenarios and humor was perfect! After working a long day I wasn't exactly looking forward to sit in on another CPR course the next morning. I arrived very tired and found myself surprised when Doug, the instructor, really took initiative to make this course as fun, factual and interesting as possible. I came here with a friend recently because my CPR certification was expiring soon and my nursing course required me to get it renewed. The gentleman that teaches the course is truly upstanding, informative, respectful, and straight-forward. The facility was very clean and everyone was masked and social distanced adequately as well. Overall the instructor makes the course. He really makes you WANT to learn CPR and encourages you to realize the serious implications that come along with being certified. Highly recommend anyone that is needing CPR certification to come here.

Very kind, professional, and to the point. Best cpr class I've ever taken! Instructor does a great job by keeping it simple while also engaging you at your level of knowledge. 2020 Update: I've taken the BLS class at Tier 1 twice now. Once with Matt and Doug. Both classes were very well taught and they both have the experience that is needed to be trustworthy, high quality teachers on the subject. Their classes do not disappoint and I will continue to go to them for my future BLS/ACLS classes.

Best BLS/ACLS renewal I’ve taken. Matt has experience on the road as well as in hospital and is able to tailor his teaching to meet everyone’s needs. Super knowledgeable instructor. Amazing teacher and class. I have been to many a CPR class, but this class has helped me feel confident with my knowledge and ability to perform CPR. Class was simple and easy to understand, while testing my knowledge on what I have learned. The teacher was knowledgeable and told incredible stories of when he was a paramedic to help put some of the concepts he described in class into real life situations. He was very personable. I am definitely coming back to re-certify.

I have gone to many cpr classes since I became an EMT in 1980 and this was the very best CPR class. Larry was clear in his teaching with just the right amount of stories to illustrate his point. The most important thing about CPR is that you can do it and I think everyone who left the class could perform CPR if needed.

I've been required to keep current in my CPR training by my state licensing board for many years now. Matt's course today is the best CPR/BLS class I've ever attended. He is energetic, fun, razor sharp, and very talented as a trainer. Matt really knows his stuff. He shared many examples of emergencies he has encountered during his career and interwove that with his class training which just made it all seem so real life and practical. Awesome CPR trainer....I highly recommend Matt & Tier One CPR!😎

I've taken similar courses in the past but this left me feeling more confident and knowledgable than anything I've previously been apart of. Matt, the teacher, is such a wealth of knowledge. Gets right to the points, is very affirmative in his teaching, and certainly has a lifetime of experience to back up everything he says. He puts so much intention into what he does, from the class down to the coziness of his business space. Stellar experience!

I've taken CPR classes 6 or 7 times before and Matt's class was above and beyond the best class I've taken. Matt teaches the information required by the AHA but he goes a step further to explain what you actually need to know in a real life emergency. His experience and his energy made the class fly by and I walked away feeling like I had truly learned life saving information.

We had a very large group and Matt handled all of us with excellence in a timely fashion. Matt was very informative with hands on training and keeping us engaged with all of his stories. we all enjoyed his class very much. Hands down the best instructor! Highly recommend.

I just finished the CPR class with Matt. He was an awesome teacher! He was clear, knowledgeable and peppered the instruction with real life stories that really drove home the concepts and the most vital pieces of information. He was also super entertaining while at the same time, deadly serious. I'm so appreciative of his very effective approach of teaching.

Matt is the best in the business! He's a former first responder with plenty of experience with emergencies, giving him a special insight into the kind of real life situations we could encounter. This was my second time using Tier One for my ACLS/BLS renewal and I rated it 5 stars the first time. The first class I took in AVL, this class I took in HVL because it worked better with my schedule. I initially was signed up for one class in AVL and two days ahead of time emailed to see if I could switch classes to the class 2 days later in HVL and Matt was super accommodating and made it easy (there’s no charges for the first reschedule). It was a further drive for me, but it worked better with my schedule so I was thankful. Matt made the class enjoyable while also making sure we were learning and understanding the material. I’ll definitely be using Tier One again 2 years from now when my recertification is due again.

Matt was a fantastic instructor with loads of real world experience to share. I've been certified in CPR for over a decade now, having had to take 5-6 recertification courses in that time, and this was by far full of the the most practical info vs. just reading from a binder.

Good ACLS renewal class. Doug didn't just rely on the videos as he focused on the 2020 updates and significant changes. In addition, Doug conducted the course in more of a discussion format to ensure each participant obtained the information they needed to better perform in their roles.

Matt did a great job working with our school to present all the needed CPR/First Aid training (and more)! He kept the pace moving nicely, answered questions thoroughly, and focused on most needed parts in more depth. It was interesting to be put in example situations to see the need for this training and then to immediately learn, practice hands-on, and gain confidence in what the next best steps would be. I also finished with an understanding of how related treatments and medicines work, so I can use best judgement in any emergency situation. Thanks for a great training! :)

The Hendersonville location is nice, renewed and has a comfortable atmosphere for learning. He engages with the class by asking questions that make you critically think.
